After 6 years at EIT Climate-KIC, I accepted the challenge to build up a completely new hub of the sister institute EIT Health in Vienna as Head of Communications. The main inspiration for the transition was the Corona pandemic: should urban resilience not only include climate measures, but also measures against health threats? Clearly, there is still much to discover here.

Together with over 130 partners, EIT Health promotes the collobarative development of innovative solutions that close evident gaps in health care, improve people’s quality of life and secure high-quality jobs in the health sector in Europe.

This Knowledge and Information Community (KIC) was founded in 2015 by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the EU Commission.

Nach 6 Jahren bei EIT Climate-KIC habe ich die Herausforderung angenommen als Kommunikationsleitung einen komplett neuen Hub des Schwester-Instituts EIT Health in Wien aufzubauen. Entscheidende Inspiration für den Wechsel war die Corona-Pandemie: Müsste eine innovative Stadt nicht nur gegen den Klimawandel, sondern auch gegen Gesundheitsbedrohungen eine herausragende Resilienz zeigen? Hier gibt es offenbar noch viel zu entdecken.

Gemeinsam mit über 130 Partnern fördert EIT Health die kollobarative Entwicklung innovativer Lösungen, die Lücken in der Gesundheitsversorgung schließen, die die Lebensqualität der Menschen erhöhen und hochwertige Arbeitsplätze im Gesundheitsbereich in Europa sichern.

Gegründet wurde diese „Knowledge and Information Community“ (KIC) 2015 vom Europäischen Institut für Innovation und Technologie (EIT), einer Einrichtung der EU Kommission.
